Music Jamaica Predecessor
According to the history of Jamaica, slaves were brought from Africa drum called "Burru" which became part arrangements of a song called "talking drums" native of West Africa. "Junkanoo" is a mix of musical cultures of Africa, Europe and Jamaica consisting of drumming, rattle (rattling musical instrument) and conch blowing. This event occurs when Christmas comes masked dancers. Junkanoos was originally a dance farmers, later it was realized that they actually communicate with the drums and the conch. The following year, Calypso from Trinidad and Tobago brought Samba originating from Central America and was introduced to the people - the Jamaican people to form a new blend called Mento. Mento itself is a simple music with humorous lyrics accompanied by guitar, banjo, tambourine, shaker, scraper and rumba or bass box. This type then popular in the 20 and 30s and is a form of Jamaican music first attracted the attention of the entire island. Mento at this time can still be enjoyed serving tourism. SKA has appeared in 40 - 50s in fact mentioned by the History of Jamaican Music, influenced by Swing, Rythym & Blues of the United States. SKA is actually a big band sound with horn arrangements (wind instrument), piano, and a quick tap "bop". Ska then easily switch and produce a form of dance "skankin" in the early 60s. Save Jamaica early include Byron Lee and the Dragonaires formed in 1956 which was then regarded as the creator of "ska". Ska developments which then slows the tempo in the mid 60s gave rise to "Rock Steady" which punta tune popularized by heavy bass and Leroy Sibbles from the Heptones group and became the first Jamaican dance music in the 60s.

Reggae and Rasta

Bob Marley of course is the star of the musical "third world" The first group to be a singer Bob Marley & The Wailers and successfully introduced a more universal reggae. However, reggae regarded by many as a relic King of Reggae Music, Hon. Robert Nesta Marley. Coupled with the presence of "The Harder they Come" in 1973, added Reggae known to many people. The death of Bob Marley then indeed brought great grief for the world, but his successors such as Freddie McGregor, Dennis Brown, Garnett Silk, Marcia Griffiths, Rita Marley and Marley family also some popping up.

Rasta Reggae music is obviously forming which is used as a weapon by Bob Marley's Rasta spread throughout the world. This incredible music grew from ska style that became elements of American R & B and the Carribean. Some opinions expressed also influences: folk music, church music Pocomania, Band jonkanoo, ceremonies farmers, planting work songs, and form mento. Nyahbingi is the most natural form of music that is often played at meetings Rasta, using three hand drums (bass, funde and repeater: there are examples in the Mystic Revelation of Rastafari). The roots of reggae itself always explore the theme of the suffering of the forced laborers (ghetto dweller), a slave in Babylon, Haile Selassie (sort of human gods) and the hope of the return of Africa. After Jamaica's independence in 1962, the unfavorable development of governance and the Black Power movement in the US then encouraged the rise of Rasta. Monumental events ensued over this development.

Reggae is a combination of traditional accompaniment Africa, America and Jamaica Blues and folk songs. This synthesis style clearly show the authenticity of Jamaica and insert their own beats, strumming the guitar upwards, vocal patterns are 'preaching' and the lyrics are still about Rastafari religious traditions. Although many commercial advantages has been obtained from reggae, Babylon (Jamaica), strict government often considered restrictive, but not the political aspect of his Rastafari. "Reg-ay" arguably arises from the notion that reggae is a music style that is based Jamaican American soul music, but with a rhythm that 'behind' and braid prominent bass. The theme weve often about Rastafari, political protest, and rudie (hooligan hero). Previous forms (ska and rocksteady) look stronger influence of African American music though his guitar playing also fill the 'hole' empty and drum accompaniment complex. In contemporary reggae, drumming taken from the Rastafarian rituals tend mystical and sacred, because it will be more calm tempo and focuses on issues of social, political and humane message.

Reggae music is indeed unique to Jamaica, ironically roots are from New Orleans R & B. Its closest ancestor, ska originated from New Orleans R & B musicians Jamaica has been heard from American radio broadcasts through their transistor radios. With reference to the simple guitar accompaniment is their interpretation will be R & B and able to become popular in the 60s. Furthermore, during the hot summer, the heat if they have to play ska and dance, the result is the song slowed and Reggae was born. Since then, Reggae Blues could prove to be as strong and has the power of interpretation that can be borrowed from Rocksteady (first) and even Rock music (now). African music is basically exist in everyday life, be it on the road, bus, public places, workplaces or at home which makes the spirit of the current difficult conditions and were able to give strength and its own message. As a result, Reggae music is not only relaxation, but also bring a message of love, peace, unity and balance and be able to loosen the tension.

When recording Jamaica has spread throughout the world, it's hard to say how many popular music genres of Reggae for over two decades. Hits Reggae even then had been dominated by the original Rock Star from Eric Clapton, Stones, The Clash and the Fugees. In addition, Reggae also considered influenced the dance world charm of its own. Culture 'Dancehall' in Jamaica is prominent and megawatt sound system, exclusive footage, drum and bass accompaniment, and chant rap with accompaniment has become a cultural dance and an outstanding display. Another innovation Reggae Dub remix that has been assimilated into other popular music more widely.
